Changes!

It is with much excitement that I am announcing a change to 7sinzNet, in particular, the IRC side of things. 7sinzNet has been officially changed to FuckingIRC.net! This, along with some future plans that are yet to be announced, will hopefully bring about some some positive changes for 7sinz/FuckingIRC. It is our goal to improve the IRC network as a whole while adding more services and increasing our userbase so that we may all enjoy the company of other like-minded individuals.

At this point in time, irc.7sinz.net will remain in use, however, if you feel like jumping on the band wagon, you can now point your IRC clients to fuckingirc.net (as well as irc.fuckingirc.net). The #7sinz channel will remain open always, as it is a very memorable channel for at least 3, if not more, people. The now official channel of #FuckingIRC is being populated and access to obtain your shiny @ is being handed out through bots and services (that signifies a channel operator, for new people).

Several months ago, 7sinzNet switched it's IRC software Hybrid, and with this new domain change, I have re-added IRC services as well. I've installed and almost thoroughly tested the Ratbox services set, which is specifically designed for use with Hybrid IRCd protocols. It provides similar features to other IRC services software: Nickname registration, Channel registration (a channel is basically a chatroom, for the new people again) and the ability to send other registered users memos. More information about our services will be posted soon, but it's always good to google for info and it never hurts to ask.

Just a quick note about this particular domain choice. IRC is meant to be a light-hearted, friendly and productive means of communication. It is not meant to be threatening or overpowering. I believe that this particular name, FuckingIRC, should demonstrate the light-hearted way IRC should be portrayed. After all, it's just fucking IRC. ;)
